On Friday, February 28th, 2025, patrol officers from the Milford Police Department responded to TJ Maxx, located at 126 Medway Rd. for a shoplifting incident. On arrival officers were met by store loss prevention, who reported Michelle Howerton, 55, of Milford, had stolen several items on this date and had been captured on previous dates shoplifting via CCTV.

At approximately 7:40pm, Howerton was arrested and transported to the Milford Police Department for booking. During the booking process, officers located a total of 9.6 grams of packaged cocaine on her person.

Howerton has been charged with the following crimes.
