The Milford Police Department would like to take a moment to commend Officer Austin Chapski and Officer Jake Mastrianna for their recent life saving efforts.
On July 16th, at 4:08am, Officers Chapski and Mastrianna responded to a 911 call for a male and female screaming for help. On arrival they encountered a male with heavy bleeding from a deep laceration to his face and neck. The efforts of these officers prior to arrival of EMS were critical to eventual survival of the victim.
K-9 Kodak Assists Bellingham PD
On Friday, August 16th 2024 at approximately 4:55pm. K-9 Kodak and his handler Officer Patrick Motuzas responded to the town of Bellingham to assist Bellingham MA Police in locating a male suspect who fled from a motor vehicle stop on a Honda CBR motorcycle. After fleeing from the stop, the suspect crashed into two vehicles and fled on foot into a small wooded area.
On arrival, K-9 Kodak quickly picked up a human scent and led K-9 Officer Motuzas on a track through several yards and wooded area before ultimately locating the suspect hiding in a shed. Bellingham Police then took the suspect into custody and transported him to their headquarters.
MPD DETECTIVES ARREST TWO ON DRUG CHARGES FOLLOWING ROBBERY IN LOWELL

On Thursday, August 8th, 2024, The Milford Police Detective Bureau was conducting surveillance in response to information received from Lowell Police Department, in regard to an armed robbery that took place in their city.
At approximately 10:30pm, detectives encountered a vehicle bearing the license plates involved in the Lowell robbery. On scene, detectives were assisted by K-9 Titan and the patrol division. The outcome of the investigation lead to the discovery of drugs, shell casings and blood splatter. While this investigation continues, the vehicle occupants, Joao Dos Santos, 18 of Brockton and Richard Gomes De Jesus, 21 of Rockland, were placed and under arrest and charged with the following.

MILFORD POLICE DETECTIVES ARREST SUSPECT FOR NEAR FATAL ASSAULT

On Tuesday, July 16th at approximately 3:58PM, members of the Milford Police Detective Bureau enacted a motor vehicle stop in vicinity of the Sumner and Dilla St. intersection. The stop resulted in the arrest of SANDY VILLEDA MARTINEZ, 35, of Milford, MA for the assault and stabbing that took place on July 15th, 2024, on Purchase St. in our town. The suspect has been charged with the following and is currently being held without bail.

After a short pursuit the vehicle came to a stop on Quinshipaug Rd. where the operator, Wilber Arias, 24, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island was arrested and charged with the following.

MILFORD POLICE INVESTIGATING EARLY MORNING INCIDENT

On Monday July 15th at approximately 4:07 am, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received several 911 calls for an unknown emergency in the area of Purchase St. Upon arrival, first responders encountered a male lying on the ground bleeding from a laceration. Responders immediately began rendering aid to the individual and secured the scene.
The patient was transported to UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester via Lifeflight, where he is currently in stable but serious condition. Milford and State Police Detectives are currently continuing their investigation into this matter.
