MILFORD POLICE MAKE NEW ARREST CONNECTED WITH AROMA BRAZIL ROBBERY

On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at approximately 4:00 AM, Milford Police Detectives, in coordination with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS), conducted a joint operation to execute arrest and search warrants in the vicinity of Union St in Franklin, MA. This arrest stems from the continuing investigation into the armed robbery of Aroma Brazil on January 9th, 2024

At approximately 6:15am, Milford Police Detectives arrested De Araujo Lima, David, 24, of Franklin, MA for his role in the January 9th armed robbery of Aroma Brazil in Milford, MA. Following capture, the suspect was booked and transported to Milford District Court for arraignment on the following charges.

Charge: WITNESS/JUROR/POLICE/COURT OFFICIAL, INTIMIDATE

FATHER AND SON ARRESTED ON GUNS AND DRUGS CHARGES

 On Friday, Feb. 16, at approximately 10 a.m., Milford Police Detectives assisted Blackstone Police along with members of the Blackstone Valley Drug and Counter Crime Task Force (represented by Northbridge, Sutton and Millbury Police), the Worcester DEA Tactical Diversion Squadron, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in executing a search warrant on Michelle Ln in Blackstone. 

 

Following the months-long investigation Michael Pitler and his son Zachary Pitler both of Blackstone, MA were placed under arrest and charged with the following.

  

MICHAEL PITLER, AGE 45, OF BLACKSTONE, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Class B Substance

 

 ZACHARY PITLER, AGE 21, OF BLACKSTONE, was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking Cocaine (More than 100 grams less than 200 grams)

  • Possession of a Firearm Without a License to Carry

  • Possession of a Firearm With a Defaced Serial Number

  • Possession of Ammunition Without a Firearms Identification Card

  • Possession of a Class B Substance (More than 100 grams)

  • Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance

  • Possession of a Class C Substance (More than 100 grams)

  • Intent to Distribute a Class C Substance

  • Possession of a Class D Substance (More than 300 grams)

  • Intent to Distribute a Class D Substance

  • Possession of a Class E Substance (More than 50 grams)

  • Intent to Distribute a Class E Substance

 

MILFORD POLICE ARREST ANDOVER MAN ON DRUG AND LARCENY CHARGES

 On Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, at approximately 11:43am, The Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a call from Unibank at 91 Prospect St for a suspicious male attempting to pass a fraudulent check.

  On arrival Milford Police Officers and Detectives were presented a “Town Of Medway” check for the amount of $4,380, which had been counterfeited to pay to the order of Sean B. Murphy of Andover, MA.  An investigation on scene revealed the check had been stolen from the mail and falsified.  The suspect was then placed under arrest and transported to Milford Police Department for booking.  A proceeding search of the suspect, lead to the discovery of possession of Methamphetamine.  Murphy has been charged with the following crimes.

Winter Parking Ban In Effect Monday February 12th 2024

The National Weather Service is predicting plowable snowfall greater than 10 inches for the Milford area beginning Monday evening and continuing into Tuesday evening.

Beginning Monday, February 12th 2024 at 4pm The Milford Police Department will be mandating a Winter Parking Ban to assist the Milford Highway Department with their clean up efforts.  During this time any on-street parking will be strictly enforced through ticketing and towing.  An end ban announcement will be released at the conclusion of clean up.

If you do not have access to off street parking we encourage you to use any of our municipal parking lots on Jefferson St, Fayette St, Pine St as well as the Pond st lot across from sacred heart church.

SUSPECT ARRESTED WITH $13,000 IN COUNTERFEIT APPLE PRODUCTS

For Immediate Release Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1:30PM

             On Thursday February 8th, 2024 at 1:49PM, members of the Milford Police Detective Bureau responded to the area of Crystal Nails on East Main St for calls of a suspicious male in a black jeep with no license plates, asking passersby if they were interested in buying Apple Products.  The suspect was gone upon arrival.

             At 2:21PM while on unmarked patrol, the Detective Bureau conducted a motor vehicle stop at Main and South Main St. of a Black Jeep Renegade bearing a rear plate that read “TAG APPLIED FOR”.  Following an investigation on scene, approximately $13,000 in counterfeit Apple Products was located and the operator of the vehicle, Lucio D’Andrea, 32, of Miami, Florida was placed under arrest and held on $20,000 bail this morning at Milford District Court.

MILFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT

On Thursday morning at 7:55AM The Milford Public Safety Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a pedestrian struck in the area of 106 Congress St.  Responders from the Milford Police and Fire Departments, as well as Community EMS were immediately dispatched to the scene to shutdown the roadway and render aid to the involved parties.

 The pedestrian struck was transported to UMASS Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The driver of the vehicle was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

 The driver has been cited for multiple infractions; the incident remains under investigation at this time.
