On Monday January 15th, 2024, at approximately 10:50pm, The Milford Police Department arrested Morreira Fontenelle, Lucas, 21 of Framingham, MA in connection with the January 9th armed robbery of Aroma Brazil.
Following an extensive investigation and surveillance by the Milford Police Detective Bureau, Fontenelle was taken into custody at the Holiday Inn Express on Fortune Blvd without incident.
Requests for interviews will be held at a later date as the investigation continues.
On Monday January 15th, 2024, at approximately 2:30pm, The Milford Police Department arrested Generoso, Daniel, 26 of Milford, MA in connection with the January 9th armed robbery of Aroma Brazil.
Following an extensive investigation by the Milford Police Detective Bureau, the Milford Police Department in conjunction with members of CEMLEC SWAT executed a search warrant on Generoso’s residence that resulted in a prolonged standoff. Members of the Massachusetts State Police and Hopedale Police assisted our agency shutting down West Street until the suspect was safely placed under arrest.

On Tuesday, January 9th at approximately 9:00pm the Milford Police Department responded to reports of an armed robbery at Aroma Brazil at 2 Beach St. Upon arrival officers were met by employees that reported two males armed with handguns, wearing masks and hoods obscuring their faces. The suspects in question left with a large sum of cash before fleeing the business on foot into an awaiting grey Dodge Durango, possibly manufactured between 2011 and 2013.
While this investigation continues, the Milford Police Detective Bureau is requesting your assistance in identifying the two armed suspects and the getaway driver as well as the vehicle involved. The Milford Police Department is proud to announce the swearing in of Officer Jake Mastrianna. Officer Mastrianna was hired by our agency in Decemeber 2018 as a member of our communications staff. As a dedicated member of the dispatch center, Jake graduated from the Lynnfield Police Academy in July 2023. On Friday January 5, 2024 @ approx. 7:18 p.m., the Milford Police Detective Division conducted an extensive investigation into an illegal mobile pharmacy. As a result Maxsuel Andrade was arrested on scene and Renata De Lima will be summons for the following charges:
Ch. 94C Sec. 32B – Distribute Class C Drug
Ch. 94C Sec. 34 – Possess Class C Drug
Ch. 94C Sec. 40 – Conspiracy to Violate a Drug Law
Ch. 265 Sec. 13L – Endangerment of Child

The national weather center is currently predicting plowable snow accumulating approximately 6 to 9 inches for the Worcester County area. Beginning at 6pm on Saturday January 6th. The Milford Police department will be mandating a winter parking ban until a completion notice is announced.
