MPD Brings The Yellow Dot To The Milford Senior Center

This past Wednesday, Sgt Kevin O’Loughlin and Dispatcher Jason Covino from the Milford Police Department visited the Milford Senior Center to discuss the Yellow Dot program. We can’t thank our partners at the Senior Center enough for having us.

A special thank you to the 70+ seniors who signed up for the program in the two hours we were there. We loved discussing local concerns and hearing stories from Milford past.

Milford Police Join Shop With A Cop To Help 600 Kids

On December 19th, Members of The Milford Police Department joined many of our surrounding agencies for Shop With A Cop. The event saw over 600 children get paired up with a member of law enforcement to stroll the aisles and choose gifts this Holiday season. The Milford Police would like to thank Officers Nate Hathway, Bayley Laughlin, Felica Gonzalez, Justin Kuras and Michael Kehoe for donating their time to be part of the event. We would also like to thank our many law enforcement partners who attended the event at Walmart in Framingham, MA. We hope this is just a little glimpse in the spirit of giving happening in our communities.

Milford Man Arrested On Kidnapping and Assault Charges

On Saturday December 9th, 2023 The Milford Police Department responded to call for a disturbance. Following an investigation Bruno Domingos De Aquino was arrested on the following charges of A&B, Kidnapping and Threat to Commit a Crime (Threat to murder).

Milford Police Investigating Two Fatal Overdoses

The Milford Police Department is currently investigating two possibly fatal overdose. We believe that cocaine being distributed in the area is laced with benzos and fentanyl. The Milford Police Department is currently investigating these incidents and encourage anyone that needs help to call our Family Services Unit 508-488-9456 or call the Milford Police directly 508-473-1113

Man Arrested For Unarmed Robbery

On Sunday December 3, 2023 @ approx. 9:26 a.m., the Milford Police Patrol Division were dispatched to the Holiday Inn Express, Fortune Blvd., for a past Assault/Larceny. Through an investigation it was determined there was probable cause for Fernando Guaman of Woonsocket, RI. A short time later Fernando was located in Milford and arrested for the following charges:

Ch. 265 Sec. 19 – Unarmed Robbery

Ch. 265 Sec. 13M – A&B

Ch. 266 Sec. 25 – Larceny From a Person

Milford Police Gun Buy Back

This Saturday December 9th 10am-1pm in our front lobby, the Milford Police Department will be one one of the hosts for Joseph D. Early Jr., Worcester County District Attorney's Office gun buy back. During these hours you can bring your unwanted firearms to our agency and turn your unwanted guns and receive a grocery gift card in return. Below you'll find more information and some facts about gun violence in our state.

Milford Police Association Toy Drive

This holiday season we’re here to help.  Starting today, The Milford Police Association is partnering with our community to provide toys to those in need.  Those interested in spreading joy by donating a toy can come to the Milford Police Department front lobby anytime between now and December 15th and donate a new, unwrapped toy in one of the collection bins.  We’d like to thank our community in advance for helping spread kindness and joy throughout Milford this holiday season.
